Welcome to your mental fitness skills training in preparation for the 2021 Futures Summit. You train your body to improve. You prepare your skills for competition. You review film and go to practice to get it all in your brain and your bones.
This year, you level up.
In 2021, the game is different. It's time to train your mind to be ready for your game to improve. You will show up ready to work beyond the thresholds of your fear. You will get your hope in shape, and get more reps on your curiosity, all so that you can take advantage of the opportunities outside of your comfort zone.
Because that is where you are headed.
Some people call it resilience. Some people call it grit. Some people call it emotional stamina. Some people call it character strengthening. Some people call it 21st century skills. Some people call it confidence.
We call it bravery.

All-Terrain Skills
We will be offering 8 practice sessions for you to adequately prepare to level up your game. These sessions will be 30 minutes of rigorous and fast-paced self-reflection, self-expression, self-activation. They are designed to help you gain insight, focus your mindset, and take action.
Each session will introduce a new framework and reinforce overarching concepts of bravery training. Being ready to play is not the same as being ready to brave. It's time to put both pieces together.

Develop a 7-line "Brave Pitch" that utilizes self-awareness to trigger bravery.

GOSSIP YOUR GOALS
Create rumors about yourself to yourself. Map the gnarliest & most reliable path to your goal.
WEEK 2

FAILURE IS COMING
Actually, it's already arrived. Learn to work with failure like it's a tool in your confidence tool belt.

LIVING ON PURPOSE
Take the overwhelm out of what you're doing and replace it with the passion of why you're doing it.

CURIOSITY 4 UNDERDOGS
Being tough is certainly helpful for winning. Being curious is absolutely critical for dominating.
WEEK 3

MIRROR ON THE WALL
You can lie to me, just don't lie to yourself. Honest self-evaluation informs healthy self-talk.

PRESSURE COOKER
Learn how to want the ball at the end of the game, and what to do when you have it.

IN FEAR, YOU BRAVE
Fear feelings are everywhere, but we resist feeling them. Know your fear feelings. Call for brave action.
Schedule it
Every practice session is 30 minutes long - nothing you can't fit into any day. Show up as you are, ready to push yourself to truth, toward fear.
Retention: How much you learn that stays in your brain and body.
Transfer: How much you use what you learn.
PRO TIP: Schedule your hardest workouts right after this mental skills training to activate your lesson in real time.
