WHAT YOU ARE WORKING TOWARD ...
BETTER SYSTEMS TO MANAGE YOUR BIG + AWESOME LIFE!
No one here is delusional about how hard life can be. It is WE who design our lives to be busy! It is also WE who want to grow and improve! Busy and hard ain't gonna change, so how we manage it all becomes critical to our WELL-BEING.
INTRODUCING
SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT
We are going to talk about 3 critical systems: HEALTH (physical, mental, emotional), STRESS (fear, pressure, overwhelm), and GROWTH (joy, passion, improvement).
THE WORK IS YOU GETTING TO KNOW YOU
ACTIVATE is meant for you to consider things about yourself. Maybe it's stuff you've never thought about before. Or, maybe you have thought about it all before, but didn't know how to make sense of it.
We are bringing it all out into the open so you can stop carrying the weight of it all inside. #vulnerabilityisgoodforyou
How to learn + practice:
- Work your Playbook
- Show up to LIVE mini-sessions
- Consume content daily content
It's a 10-day, action-packed journey of self-discovery. Bravery is required, but fun is baked in every step of the way.
FOUNDATION
HEALTH SYSTEMS
- Physical
- Mental
- Emotional
Being fit and strong in your physical body is basic preparation. Being fit and strong physically, mentally, AND emotionally will enable you to maximize your whole self for competition, for performing under pressure, for managing high expectations, and for finding joy in all the hard stuff.
Vigilance and commitment to your own health systems can be the first thing that slides when you are busy, are prepping for exams or a big tournament, or traveling.
One of the best all around experiences you can plan into your schedule that trains all three systems is yoga.
Yoga brings together and develops all health systems concurrently. Yoga helps you work on balance, flexibility and strength, all of which are #goals for each of your health systems.

INTENSE
STRESS SYSTEMS
Ahhhhhh. To be a teenager right now in this world is insane. Have you ever thought about how you are processing
- Fear
- Pressure
- Overwhelm
Stress can show up in so many ways, oftentimes wrecking the most havoc on motivation and, ultimately, productivity.
Learning to identify your fear and convert it to fuel, how to take some air out of building pressure, and how to break apart a huge concrete block of overwhelm is something you can do.
All of the stress systems lose potency when you reduce them to small bits and pieces. Their compound power rests in letting the thing build-up over time.
This is one of the biggest reasons bravery is such an effective lever.
AWESOME
GROWTH SYSTEMS
When do we ever talk about - and practice - getting efficient with these life-affirming systems?
- Joy
- Passion
- Improvement
As athletes, you are hard-wired to try to improve. And, we all know that playing sports competitively sometimes means we prioritize winning or working over having fun.
But, what if the stretching outside of our comfort zones and pursuit of excellence was accompanied by clear personal joy and passion?
Knowing where joy lives in and around you is so critical to your life on the field, and even more so beyond it.
Passion is closely related to an important ingredient in motivation science: VALUE. How much do you value doing this or learning that? The more you value it, the more you drive INTRINSIC MOTIVATION that will keep you doing it longer.
FOCUS
BRAVERY FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Before the pandemic, we were clear on how to get more brave, particularly if you consider bravery to be ACTION in the face of fear. Those three ways are:
- Honesty with self
- Taking brave action
- Witnessing brave action
What we learned in, through, and beyond the pandemic is that an act of bravery can be to chase after, nurture, or secure one's personal well-being.
If you consider bravery to be WELL-BEING in the face of fear, then we offer these 3 ways to practice:
- Honesty with self: Am I ok?
- Take brave action: Asking for help.
- Witnessing brave action: How can I spark joy?

THE BRAVE TEAM!
I'm Crista and I've been obsessed with potential ever since I can remember. I started coaching kids when I was a kid myself. I started Brave Enterprises to maximize my empathy muscles and hone the emotional intelligence skills I accumulated throughout a lifetime struggle with depression.
I've been able to meet thousands of players, kids, and adults, who have worked to understand their fear in order to build their bravery.
Along the way, I met, coached and employed Sarah "Fish"er, a talented lacrosse player who has experienced similar mental health challenges.
Fish has taught me a ton by being open in a way I never knew how to be. And, like a mirror being held up in front of me, supporting her has taught me how to heal me.
This picture was taken from The USA Lacrosse Legacy Gala, where I accepted an award, and Fish helped to kick off a 9-person Brave Pitch train that brought the house down.
We are so pumped to pump you up.
